I just finished installing the racor lift and taking the top off my jeep. This is both a diy and demonstration video of making a lift or hoist to remove and store your jeep tj wrangler hard top.

This thing makes taking on and off the hard top on my jku so easy and it stored out of the way. Simple screw gun to run the lift and i used pipe insulators to make sure the bottom of the rack wouldn't scratch the top if it happened to touch.

Thanks for Rahneld for the same video to my post on the subject. It definitely helped if you didn't already make the switch over. I also left the two plates on the sports bar. One tip for you, watch your fingers when you detach the soft top from those brackets. I didn't think about the tension and when I removed it, the connecting piece snapped back onto my thumb. A couple neighbors looked up upon hearing the choice words I exclaimed.
